Real estate or event planning?

wiccangal asked:

I am at a crossroads. I want to have a career and not just a job. I am currently looking into becoming a real estate agent. I love the idea of staging homes and one day flipping houses. On the other hand I am also considering a career as an event planner. I love the idea of coordinating and making someone’s vision a reality. I have a degree in theater and art history so as you can see I want something that is creative and stimulating. On the other hand I want to be able to make money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. Help! I need advice. Thanks

Event planner–definitely–it sounds like the dream job. You already know in a way….you could explore your artistic side in many more ways….good luck whatever decision you make!

It sounds like you should be an event planner and do real estate on the side…. Real estate can be as part time as you need it to be, and if you decide you like it better and you can make a bunch of money you can switch it up.
