    I don’t know that you would *have* to get a degree, but it wouldn’t hurt. It depends on the nature of events and the scale on which you wish to work. If you want to coordinate concerts and other performances at major venues, you may need a degree; to coordinate parties and smaller events, you may not. I would definitely recommend getting experience through a program board at your university.
