I am trying to start my own business as an event planner. I have one year experience as a marketing manager and have done some event planning for work and family. I would like to work one wedding so I can see how a professional does it.

    Call up an event planner and ask them of you can help them out with some events at no charge. And make sure you work for them as hard as you would if they paid you. Ask questions but be careful to do a lot of observation so you don’t wear out your welcome.
